Janine Koeppen is a professional art conservator with a MA in Conservation of Modern Materials and Technical Heritage from the University of Applied Science Berlin and a BA in Conservation, Art Technology and Conservation Science from the Technical University in Munich.
She provides conservation services for art objects with a specialization in modern materials and plastics. After moving to the US in 2019, she first worked in Los Angles before finally settling in Seattle. Over the years, she collaborated with well-known art institutions in the US and abroad including the Getty Conservation Institute, the Wende Museum in Los Angeles, the Deutsches Museum Munich, the German Mining Museum in Bochum, and the Deutsches Historisches Museum in Berlin.
In addition, Janine Koeppen has held internships at Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum Munich, the Getty Conservation Institute in Los Angeles, the Bavarian National Museum and private studios in San Francisco and Munich.
She is a member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and the Western Association for Art Conservation (WAAC).
